Updates wont install

Has anyone had a problem with some updates not installing?
I have had several computers that keep getting errors on
the same updates. It is usually these updates.

Cumulative update for Outloook Express 6 Service pack 1
(KB837009)
Cumulative update for Internet Explorer 6 Service pack 1
(KB832894)
Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components
(KB832483)

If i download the updates and try ot manualy install them
I still get errors.

I figured out what my problem was. I was using a # sign in
the first slot of my username. Once i removed that the
update's ran fine. It looks like some of the updates have
a problem writing to the temp directory in your user
profile if it has something other than letters and
numbers. I didnt try the updates with the # in the middle
of the username.
