UNKNOWN ERROR WHEN IT SAY UNKNOWN ERROR HAS OCCURRED

This FINALLY worked for me. Thank you SO much. It was extremely
frustrating to have 16 emails in my inbox that I could not 'view' or delete.
Thanks again!!

Thanks for the feedback. It's the only way we can ascertain
which fixes work and which ones don't work.

Hi Philippe,

You have the "Stuck" undeletable message problem. Read the top portion
at this link and do the section for the folder that you have the stuck
message in. It will get rid if it for you.

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common
antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee,
or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause such problems, although
seldom immediately, so if you have such a program, remember
where to find the fix - you are likely to need it again.

I have tried the Microsoft fix, and it did Not Help me, I am about ready to
give up, I have only had my computer almost 1 year, and I have had nothing
but problem out of the Vista..Is there anywhere I can take my system for it
to be fixed for free, maybe by a Microsoft Tech. seeing as im not a computer
geek. I have heard nothing good about the Vista program, and Im about to
believe all that I hear...Can someone Help PLEASE!!!

How do I delete the delete items - there are over 400 - will not allow me to

Did you try both the 32-bit version of the fix and the 64-bit version? One
of them will refuse to install, but which one depends on which version of
Vista you have.

If neither works, you might want to download and install Windows Live
Mail, Microsoft's newer email program:

i did as the person below suggested and went with the 62 bit, which my
computer would not accept and in the process of trying to get back to the 32
bit option, i found at the bottom of the page for installing the 62 bit a
list of downloads that 'others have found useful' so i clicked the first one
of updates for window vista and poof, my outbox mail started
sending...immediately...thanks..

"I CANNOT DELETE OLD E MAILS,NEW ONES YES"

If you want to be treated as shouting, and therefore receive fewer answers,
post in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

This problem usually means you need to download and install this fix, with
Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

tend to cause such problems, although seldom immediately, so if you
have such a program, remember where to find the fix - you are likely
to need it again. A recent antivirus program from Trend also causes
assorted problems in Windows Mail.
