Hi,
I lost a load of files on my USB drive but managed to recover them using
EasyRecovery. This placed my files into folders for each type. One of which,
and the most important ones, is a Powerpoint folder.
When I try to open one of the Microsoft Powerpoint Presentations I get the
error message, 'Powerpoint can't opwn the type of file represented by
.......filename.PPT.'
If I use Easyrecovery to try to repair the file I get the following message.
Repair progress:
Creating temporary file
Repairing file structures
Invalid file header found
Extracting slide data
Extraction phase 1
Extraction phase 2
Extraction phase 3
Adding slides to presentation
No PowerPoint Data Found
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: Repaired 0 of 1 files.
EasyRecovery has had a critical error. Please verify Microsoft PowerPoint is
installed and configured properly on this system. Verify the source files
are not open or in use and the destination volume has enough disk space to
store recovered files.
Is there another way that I could possibly open the files?
Cheers
Lenny
