Poiwerpoint Error Message

Sometimes, when I open Powerpoint files, I get this error message:

"PowerPoint was unable to display some of the text, images, or objects on
slides in the file, filename.ppt, because they have become corrupted.
Effected slides have been replaced by blank slides in the presentation and it
is not possible to recover the lost information. To ensure that the file can
be opened in previous versions of PowerPoint, use the Save As command (File
menu) and save the file with either the same or a new name."

I use Powerpoint 2007. Can anybody help me?

Steve,

No there are no balnk slides in the presentation. I think this is just a
bug in the software. This error also existed with powerpoint 2003, but SP3
solved it. Now we are back to square one.

Steve,

It happens completely randomly. Sometimes the file opens fine, other times
it gives me the error message. Saving it and re-opening it has no effect.
I'll try replacing the faulty pictures and see if it does it again.

Thanks.

You might try this thing I just learned about. Not sure it will work, but
hey, it's worth a try!

Open PPT and go to Office Button | Open.

The Open button at the bottom has a little arow beside it. Click the arrrow
and choose "open and repair." Then save the file with a new name and see if
that version continues to work without giving you that weird error message.
