Unable to use WinXP CD writing with SONY CRX230E

I am facing a problem while using windows xp cd writing feature.
I am using SONY's CD writer ( 52X write , 32X rewrite , drive SONY
CD-RW CRX230E) which i purchased last week.The
properties of CD-RW shows recording Tab and CD recording is enable. I
installed NERO Express 6 which is shipped with this CD writer.
When i try to write the files from Stagging area to writable CD in CD
writer , CD writing wizard appears , and when i click further i get
error messages saying NO CD disk is available , Please insert a
writable disk.
I installed latest windows xp service pack SP1a assuming it will
update the necessary drivers but in vain. Can anyone suggest a
solution?

If you install Nero it will probably turn off the inbuilt burning; Nero
does all that it does and does it better. If you want to turn it back
on, go to My Computer, right click the Drive, take Properties and on the
Recording page check 'Enable recording' and Apply

Windows XP CD recording is already enabled. The Microsoft suggested to
use the proper driver.I have already installed the latest Service pack
to achieve this
Any guess??.

In that case this is probably one of those drives (they are not
uncommon) for which 'for whatever reason' (as one .ini file put it) just
do not work with the inbuilt burning. As the Nero works, use that
