Is there a way I can disable APIPA in my XPE image?
The knowledge article says:
For Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003, APIPA can be disabled
by adding the "IPAutoconfigurationEnabled" DWORD registry entry with a value
of 0x0 to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interf
aces\<Adapter GUID>
Note The Adapter GUID subkey is a globally unique identifier (GUID) for the
computer's LAN adapter.
However, at build time I don't know the Adapter GUID. Is there a setting
for disabling this somewhere, or do we have to turn it off by editing the
registry (by hand or with a script) after FBA (and in our case prior to
resealing the image manually)?
Thank you!
