Trying to change priority of programs in task manager...

For some programs it lets me, but for a game i try to change the priorityin
task manager and i get this error: --- Unable to change priority---
--The operation could not be compelted--
---access is denied---

I used to be able to change priority on games, now i cant , anyone know why?
