Trouble installing Internet Explorer 6

I downloaded the windows update, Internet Explorer 6, but cannot complete
it's installation. I continue to get this message when I install: "Setup
was unable to install all the components. Please close all applications and
try running Setup again. Run: ie6setup.exe from the C:\WINDOWS/windows
update setup files folder."

I have tried from windows update and from my desktop many times. I can only
install 75%. Please help. Thanks! EQ

I had to reboot my PC then start over. After several
attempts it did go through! GL!!

I did reboot my computer......I still get the same message and can only
install 75%..
