Installing IE-6

I am trying to install IE-6 from ie6setup.exe for my Windows 98 OS.I am getting the below error message
"The download location information is damaged. Please clear your Internet Explorer browser cache and retry Setup
I have uninstalled my previous IE-5 using IEradicator2001.zip and I am trying to install this version. I tried installing back ie5setup.exe. Then also I am facing this problem
Atlast I have installed nestcape successfully which is not running my media player preoperly
Please help me to solve this issue...

This can be useful.

It has the full install of 6sp1 and the updates for it, as well as a
removal program to get rid of the corrupt files to enable a clean
install. It's all menu driven by a AutoRun program that pops up when
you insert the CD and it's only $3.00

Hi,
I have downloaded IE6 successfullly and intsalled the same from the below mentioned websites. But I was getting the below error msg and it is not going into any web sites. I hope there might be some files missing in my PC. I tried to install IE5.5 too . But still i am getting the below error msg. Please let me know what else I need to do.
Error msg on the browser.
