Tools (Software Explorer) not classified yet for Microsoft Softwar

Clicked the Tools button on Windows Defender and then clicked Software
Explorer and selected the Category Currently Running Programs. It takes
several minutes for Defender to come up with its Classification (meanwhile
the Cpu is pegged at 100). After that it lists Microsoft Internet Explorer
and Microsoft Windows Explorer as "not yet classified". How bizarre that
Microsoft hasn't classified their own software.

Just take a look in your toolbar...what do you see next to the title of the
program "Windows Defender"... yes, that's right, Beta! They are getting to
it, so don't you worry. It's a work in progress. Besides, you don't have to
question a "Windows" program trusting another "Microsoft" program. I'd be
happy enough that it can catch other programs that aren't. As for your cpu,
it might be behind the times in speed or have too many programs running at
the same time. Running it myself, it barely makes 50 with a 2 year old, maybe
a few seconds as it looks for new information about the program... Just watch
for updates, and periodically, your program list will be updated. There are
too many more programs I'd be interested in learning about to catch...so many
new ones made everyday, it's difficult to keep up.

This is a beta (2). The simple stuff should have been already fixed. I
thought the purpose of a beta was to discover problems and report them. Yes,
I have an old 2.53 Ghz Pentium 4 processor, but Windows Defender should be
able to run on it.
Do you really want to see another review article in the PC rags, er
magazines, that says Windows Defender was not up to par, and we recommend
Webroot SpySweeper?

Thanks for the reporting. My understanding is that IE7 will also alert on
changes to the hosts file. I haven't seen how that works, so I don't know
if it is able to give more information than Windows Defender/
