H - Menu...Dont know why this is not widely used or known about.....i
find it priceless.

Note: if you try it dont use the right hand side pop up
launchers....they get in the way of scrolling and window buttons.

its a bugger to configure if you are a newbee like myself...but well
worth it.

Wakeup...the only freeware wav alarm with the all important "volume
fade in"....nice!

PS....maybe pricelesswarehome can include a special "idiot proof" icon
next to programs which require no technical knowledge to set up and
use. I know it would help computer newbees like myself who waste time
downloading programs which are out of my depth.

If suzan and others like this idea perhaps we can have a comp to come
up with some nicely designed icons for pricelessware in the
future.....and perhaps other ratings like "nurd" or "geek elite" and
also perhaps an indication of how much power drain a prog uses and
screen shots.....perhaps this is more work than i realise
though.......the idears are endless.....

I'd be intrested to know what idears susan (i assume she is the owner)
is thinking about for pricelesswarehome in future years to come. The
site has been invaluable for me up to now and i would love to see it
expanded. Perhaps a section of tweaks?....and maybe macro scripts for
automation?....in fact a whole section devoted to "Productivity would
be cool" and/or "Portable Aps" ...sorry....i'm rambling now ...i'm not
the one who has to spend ages writing the html for the above idears.

on a new subject.....

if anyone can suggest spyware free progs for the following list
please?:

1 one press button shutdown freeware which i can have as a button in
firefox browser.
2. auto forward and/or reply extention for thunderbird Version 1.0 or a
way to configure it.
3. a prog for creating mindmaps which allows freehand drawing of
pictures using a ms paint like style instead of having to use library
shapes and pics(freeware or comercial...i'm desperate)...does not have
to be specifically "mind mapping software)...just something which
combines text in boxes with pictures and can be expanded out in all
directions from a central start point.
4. blogging capabillity for my thunderbird v.1.0
5. a simple internet and keylogging stealth monitoring tool for keeping
track of my kids which does not poes a hijack security risk...(perhaps
password protected?) or perhaps something i can put in the A drive when
needed.....problems with kids looking at porn and cracking/hacking
newsgroups.
6. simple automation/macro prog.ie...when computer does "X"...run/open
this "X"......i cant write scripts so only novice level prog
suggestions please.

many thanks if you can help with any of the above requests

A.

PS...I would tip anyone via paypal who can find me a (definate)solution
to my mind mapping request....ie...allows "freehand drawing next to
text.

This website will be closed 22 april 2005.
The development of H-Menu is suspended.

Your last chance:
* Download the latest version: H-Menu 6.0 *

http://www.h-menu.com/homeEN.htm

http://www.h-menu.com/H-Menu60.zip

As far as I can tell H-Menu has not been mentioned in ACF before. Maybe
Susan can confirm? If the group feels this freeware program is worth
keeping maybe it'll find a new home.

Ultimate Paint is a full-featured 32-bit Windows graphics program for
image creation, viewing and manipulation. On this page you can download
different versions, see what extras UP gives you compared to other paint
programs, take a look at its cool plug-in effects, register the trial
version and browse the tutorials. In the latest trial version all basic
functionality can be used without limitations. In addition we have also
introduced a new freeware version.

UP supports JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PCX, AVI (reading only), TGA, WMF/EMF,
ICO (reading only), IFF/LBM and WAP BMP image formats and Twain
compatible scanners. You can easily print your image, setting its size,
position and orientation.

It has a flexible brush handling method which encourages creative
drawing. It's similar to what good old Deluxe Paint had, so if you're
familiar with DP, you will love Ultimate Paint. You can also retouch
and enhance photos using a comprehensive set of built-in tools and
plug-ins. Features include resizing, rotating, flood filling, text
operations and a lot more. Comes with dozens (more than a hundred!) of
cool plug-in filters, and Adobe plug-ins are also supported. All
pictures are handled 24 bit. The user interface is adjustable to the
user's experience level, thus both novice users and experts can use it
conveniently.

Project DogWaffle version 1.2 is a new product based on the powerful
achitecture of Dogwaffle 2.0. We've created a light, yet powerful tool
for artistic expression. We felt that the aging free version (1.11b) was
in need of an update, since it was written for earlier operating systems
and we wanted our new users to have the speed and power of our newer
software architecture.

DogWaffle 1.2 is not just a stripped-down demo of our software - it's a
fully functional version with some new features too. It is not
save-disabled, there's no time-limit, no registration needed.

For users who want to get the full power of Project Dogwaffe, we offer
the commercial version at a low price. In it, you will get even more
power with advanced features, more filters, more special FX and more
animation support.

We feel that version 1.2 is a great free tool for artists who are just
getting started, and for seasoned professionals alike.

Programmers will find that our pluggin interface supports all but one
plugin command, so they can develop applications that work with either
the full version or this new free version.

We have eliminated some of the fat from the program, to keep things
lite, so things like bulky help files have been excluded, however help
and tutorials are available online. For graphics support, we have
included internal support for BMP files, as well as the native Targa
format. Single images as well as brushes and frame sequences can be
loaded in these formats.

I have asked for and received permission from the author, Hans de Vries, to
host H-Menu at FW4U. It is now available at
http://freeware4u.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=244

It's a handy tool that I'm sure a lot of folks will find very useful. Hans
was generous enough to provide this for many years as true freeware. I'm
happy to be able to keep it available to the general public.
