Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090
It also works on other folders.

Such problems are often due to the message being corrupted by interference
from an antivirus program. What if any antivirus programs do you have, and
have you ever had a Norton or McAfee antivirus program on that computer,
even a trial version?

For a temporary fix, download and install this hotfix, with Windows Mail not
running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other
folders. The Vista SP1 update includes this hotfix and more, but takes
hours longer to install.

That usually blocks all the outgoing mail after the undeletable message.

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in

of Vista or a 64-bit version, try the hotfix for the 32-bit version first.

Also, check your list of installed programs. If it includes either
SMS Desktop or Google Toolbar, uninstall them. Web sites
that let you do a Google search are not a problem.

I have the same problem, Currys told me everything has to be wiped off and

Wow, you are quoting some very old posts! Try reading the newer posts first.
This is a fast moving tech world where last week's fixes may no longer work.

If any messages won't move or can't be deleted, apply this Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

Although that article only mentions Outbox, it works for all mail folders.
