The junk email reporting tool button or icon is missing?

Hi

I am using a friends notebook and I installed this junk email reporting tool.
After installing it, I opened Outlook 2003 and tested this tool on a few
junk mails.

I closed Outllook and much later re-opened it, only to get some "MS error
message" then ...
The junk email reporting tool button or icon is missing?

How do I get this button or icon back?

Cheers

"Some MS error message" doesn't really help us...can you reproduce the
problem and tell us what the error is? Are you able to uninstall the junk
e-mail reporting tool? (I don't really know anything about it, but if you
tell me what error message you're getting I can do more research.)

Sorry, I don't take note of Microsoft error messages.
I will try and un-install and re-install it.

I have re-installed it like twice already.

No Luck, Un-installed then re-installed.

I still see no icon.

How to get the icon back?

If you get the error again, make sure you do take note of it this time. Many
error messages are specific enough to help troubleshoot the problem, and if
you ignore them, you may never figure out what's wrong (and neither will we).

Thanks

Winblows and Microsux should just work, I hate their products.

Nothing ever "just works"...everything is prone to breakdowns and glitches.
I've been using a free version of Linux lately and it's crashed a few times
on me as well, so I am not too impressed so far. Just think -- perhaps if we
figure out the answer to your problem, we can help others fix it as well, and
Microsoft may take note of it and fix it on their end.

Ok let's start again.

1: The junk mail report icon/toolbar was working and was available.
2: Now it's gone after getting some error message about disabling this
icon/toolbar.

I searched the net for the past couple of days and found a site that
explained they had the same problem as I have, I got a reg key from them and
it still doesn't work.

All I am asking is,
How to get the icon/toolbar back?

1: Surely there is a fix?
2: Maybe a reg file?
3: Where is the DLL file to add it manually?
4: Microsoft needs to have a better system to what they currently have on
the downloads page - there should be a link to "discuss" or a "forum to
discuss" that specific download.
5: A page that fixes all/or any Microsoft issues - where a user can search
and find specific to what they searched for and not get every other option
avaliable on the Microsoft site.
6: Basically this tool works and sux -
- you can only send one junk mail at time.
- It does not update the junk mail list.
7: I can't think of anything now, as I can't get this thing to work!

Cheers

OK...so you can't find out what the error message was because you can't
reproduce the problem anymore, right? Do you remember what site you found
where someone else had the same problem, so I could look at that site too?
Throw me a bone here...

Also, if the tool sucks, why bother -- can you uninstall it?

Yeah, I like testing stuff too, but sometimes it just doesn't work out. This
is a relatively new product so perhaps after a few more builds/versions it
will work properly.

Has there been a fix found for this? A couple of weeks ago the same thing
happened to me. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the tool as well as
re-registered the .DLL. The error message I received stated something about
using the add-in manager to put the icon back, but I have been unable to find
any .ECF file associated with this tool. Thanks.
