he has Boulder Regular. I've gotten fonts from this site before.

| Boulder was the font we used in the begining (when we first started our
| company). Somewhere along the line, it became unavailable (we couldn't
find
| it anywhere). We had bought a new computer, and since the old CD from
which
| we had installed it in the first place was for Windows 3.1, we couldn't
run
| it.
|
| Reservoir Grunge was the closest thing we could find to the look and
| character of the Boulder (and I have no idea today where I found that),
but I
| had always hoped to someday find the Boulder again, which I liked very
much.

I use Excel to mow my lawn, wash the car, and cook dinner!

This is something I haven't tried yet. Could you elaborate on how do
you go about doing this? I can see writing your recipe in Excel but to
cook your dinner is something quite alien to me. However, Excel is a
very popular spreadsheet and I won't be surprised if some smart arse
comes out with novel way of making use of it!

Yah you could probably mow your lawn with an electric carving knife too.

Using Excel to create graphics is as ridiculous as using Excel to create web
pages (which you could do...but would you? ahhh..NO)

He doesn't have to spend a dime, he can create the graphic with FrontPage
and Paint or any of the zillion free image or graphic editors out there.

If you read all his messages, he hasn't got a clue how to use paint. He
can just about use FP to create basic pages. My message was intended to
give him yet another way of creating text in different fonts. Office
2003 and Office 2007 comes with additional fonts which can be used
creatively!.

I haven't done this but await for a way to do it from a smart arse like
you and Bob Lehmann. Indeed bob can also cook his dinner with excel and
again I await how this is done!.

YES I would if the graphics involve all text like the OP's. Paint isn't
a good program to manipulate texts. I would rather use Excel or Word to
design text in a font I wont before pasting it on a PAINT program.

I agree there are many FREE image or graphic editors out there but I
won't advice anyone to install these programs unless I know who the
creator of these programs is. You never know what is in those
programs. There is no such thing as FREE especially from someone you
hardly know. Yo can trust MS's trial programs or adobe's trial programs
but I won't trust someone calling himself ZAK HACKER giving out free
programs.

Hope this helps.

Rob Giordano,

I seem to sense that you enjoy attacking novice users of MS programs!
If you read the OP's messages, he is determined to use FP and all he is
doing is to ask us how he can advance his knowledge. Now you like to
attack people like him. This is unfair and you should be ashamed of
yourself.

I admire OPs attempt to master the new tricks of developing his webpage
and to develop his small business. He should be congratulated and
helped in any way we can.

No, you'd rather give someone advice on using the wrong tool for the job.

Attacking him? I guess you can't read very well.

I'm giving him solid advice and you're tellin him to go mow his lawn with a
can opener.

I didn't think that anyone had attacked me. I bristled a bit at Patty's
first post, but my wife thought I was nuts ...she didn't see anything to get
upset about in Patty's post at all.

If anyone is quick on the draw, it's me. I over reacted to what Patty had
said. In the end, I learned something important, and my questions were
answered. I was trying to do something that was totally unnecessary, over
complicated, and it wouldn't have worked anyway, as I finally realized.

I tried making the GIF in Paint; it was totally unacceptable. It was very
poor image quality. I was fuzzy looking and the color wasn't solid like the
font in normal text.

If I were you, I would design the logo in Excel (this has all the fonts
you will ever need!!) than copy it (Edit, copy or CTRL+C), then paste
in Paint. The paint program is in: START, All Programs, Accessories

Now you can save this as a .GIF file from paint.

You have Excel on your system right? If not you can download a trial
version from MS website to do the job and then you can delete it from
your system once the job is done.

Also, you can get trial vesion of Photoshop from Adobe website:

http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

Hope this helps.

I know you didn't call me a newbie. My wife read your post and didn't react
at all the way I did, so I guess I took your message the wrong way.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check some of those programs out.
Unfortunately, I can't afford a big expensive program at this time; however,
many good programs are fairly inexpensive. Thanks again.
