System Restore & RealOne Player

If I use RealOne Player, all my system restore points
disappear, and I get the following error code:
0xc0000040. There is support center article that said
this was a known problem. My question is whether the
problem has been fixed or there is some workaround that
will enable me to use RealOne Player w/o having my system
restore points disappear.

No workaround yet that I know of.
