Lost Restore Points Using RealOnePlayer

R

Ron K.

I continually lose restore points when I play .ra files
whether audio clips from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc or
downloaded .ra files. I have had this problem for 6
months or more.

I get the following Event Error :

Event Type: Error
Event Source: sr (note: I guess sr = system restore)
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 7/28/2003
Time: 8:31:32 PM
User: N/A
Computer: XXXXXX
Description:
The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected
error '0xC0000040' while processing the file 'XXXXXX.lnk'
on the volume 'HarddiskVolume1'. It has stopped
monitoring the volume.

I have contacted RealOne and they tried to help at first
then gave up. I have seen others post this problem
before but have seen no solutions.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ron
