svchost.exe

HELP
everytime I log onto the net I get a message after a short
while saying svchost.exe has generated errors and will be
closed by windows
you will need to restart the progromme
an error log is being created.

once this message appears I cannot open any attachments to
e-mails or on any websites also I cannot log off the net
to log off I have to shut down or reboot windows...please
can you HELP its so frustrating
