svchost.exe generates errors

When i log onto internet, i get an error
saying "svchost.exe has generated errors. You will have to
restart the program".

After this error, i m unable to copy, paste in windows or
even disconnect from the internet. The only way out is to
restart the machine.

Can anyone suggesst how to solve this. Please!!!!!!!!

Please go to McAfee (http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/mfs/default.asp) and/or Trend
(http://housecall.antivirus.com ) and perform an online scan of your platform then report
back your results.

Based upon those results, we can go on from there.

This problem is common with the blaster worm infection

go to the following link and download the Blaster Worm: Critical Security
Patch for Windows 2000 and run it:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en


if the link is not active, do the following:
1- go to www.microsoft.com
2. under "Resources" on the left side: click downloads
3. under "product/technology" chose "Windows 2000"
4. under "Keywords" type "worm" then GO
5. the first article is "Blaster Worm: Critical Security Patch for Windows
2000" click on it.
6. in the right side you will find "Blaster Worm: Critical Security Patch
for Windows 2000" download it and run it.
