Hi
I have win XP 1.67 GB w 512 MB of ram on athlon amd
processor and internet explorer version 6 but from
somewhere I downloaded the program of surfghost with
some popupk - now I can't get rid of it.It is located at
C:\Program Files\surfghost and every time i try to remove
it , I am notified that index.dat (one of the contents of
folder surfghost and has an wmp icon) is used by some
program which i should close.I have reset the location of
temporary internet files folder (through tools/internet
options)to C:\Internet Cache\Temporary Internet
Files\Temporary Internet Files which used to be in
surfghost folder earlier but still all the files/cookies
I view come in surfghost folder.Earlier this location
used to be the the internet cache .After the surfghost
takeover I also cannot view history of pages visited. When
i try to view history,I just view afolder history ie5
with location of C:\Program
Files\surfghost\temp\history.So please guide me what
steps I shall take to - 1.Remove surfghost from my system
and 2.view all the cookies/files I visited in
tempinternet files.
THanks
