Stop Quota status messages

Kathryn

I would like to be able to control or stop the pop up messages regarding my
quota status on my e-mail server.

These messages pop up VERY frequently and are very annoying and distracting,
as they automatically become the active windoww when they appear. Is there a
way to turn them off, or even better to have a current status dispalyed in
the status bar of outlook? This is possible in Thunderbird, but I can't find
the capability in Outlook.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Kathryn

Delete enough of the data in your mailbox and the messages should stop.

Brian,
I realize that, however the server begins to send messages when there is
still a significant amount of disk space remaining. I am looking for a
solution that allows me to control delivery of the messages!
Thanks,
Kathryn

The problem is on the server in yoru mailbox and it has nothing to do with
how much disk space the server has.

Brian,
I understand that the quota issue is a function of the server and my space
allocation there. My issue is NOT with my quota, it IS WITH THE CONTROL OVER
HOW OUTLOOK RESPONDS TO THOSE QUOTA MESSAGES!

I wish to suppress them on occasion and feel that this capability MUST
exist. The free program, Thunderbird, which I prefer not to use, allows them
to be manifested as merely a label (a fuel gauge if you will) at the bottom
of the client window and does not disrupt my work by changing the active
window whenever a message is received.

I would suggest that that is a matter of policy with your Exchange
admin......

Just because one progam can do something doesn't mean they all can.
Feelings don't enter into it at all. If you don't like what's happening,
speak with your IT people.
