How to stop the email notifications?

Using Outlook 2003.

How do I stop the mail notifications which pop up everytime a message is
received? We have high email traffic and they are very distracting.

Obviously a solution while Outlook is running :)

Hi,
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Preferences tab, and then click E-Mail Options.
Clear the Display a notification message when new mail arrives check box
