Add color to Outlook inbox message headers when sending

G

Guest

I am attempting to send certain messages to an internal distribution list so
that recipients are sure to notice them. I have used the technique of sending
them with a follow-up status to be read at a time and date that has already
passed. That way, they appear in red in the inbox.

This would be great, but some have complained that the reminders that pop up
with messgaes such as this (because the date for action has already passed)
are annoying. Is there a way to get messages to appear in color in inboxes
without using this technique and triggering further action?

Thank you in advance. Please feel free to post here or e-mail me directly at
(e-mail address removed).

Simply don't set the reminder but just the date?
You are not responsible on how they deal with their email. I would be
seriously p*ssed off if companies tried to do this with me too. I've got my
own sorting system and I don't want anybody to mess with that by pulling
these pranks. If I would miss an important mail then that simply is my
fault. You can send the message with High Priority or you can state the
importance of the messages you send out in the message body and request that
people take appropriate action to make usre they never miss one. Then they
can decide whether to set reminders, rules automatic formatting, etc... to
make sure they read it.
