Stop Errors / Blue Screen of Death (BSoD)

Hi,

The last several months I have been at a wits end with windows stop error
messages/BSoBs randomly occuring.

I get these BSoD randomly, but more offen when playing Halo PC. Although
also they occur in windows desktop.

Each BSoD error message is different, it seems I have had them all, from
PFN_List_Corrupt to IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL to PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.
But a lot of the time it is just a blue screen with no text or error message
at all.

It seems all the error descriptions point to either memory or driver issues.

I haven't changed any hardware or software recently. In fact, I have
reformatted endless number of times. Currently I have set the PC back exactly
like it was when I ordered it. With the only addition of a wireless linksys
PCI card (which was installed well before the stop errors started occuring)

I obviously have all the lastest drviers for all of my hardware.

Here is a list of my specs:
Windows XP SP2
AMD Fx-55
Raid 0 controller with 2 WD raptors HD's
creative audigy SB 2Z
linksys wireless PCI
Abit motherboard
420 watt power supply
DVD
CDR
5 in 1 media card reader
2 512 cosair memory modules
ati x850 pro video card

Other than reformatting, setting the system back like when it was working
well and updating the drivers, BIO and all, I have turned off the raid
controller, installed the OS on both the HD's and ran then independantly.
Also taken out one of the ram modules and ran etc ...

I have spent many many hours on the phone to tecnhical support, and in the
end they were of the opinion that it was my video card. So that was replaced
and the problem still occured.

What could the problem be? I have also ran memtest on the ram and windows
scan for the HD -they seemed to have passed (there were errors on the HD, but
they were fixed and thats standard to have correctable errors)

What would the problem be? Motherboard, ram, processor, sound card ... ?

I would be very greatful if anyone could help me to fix this problem.

Thanks, Will

Looked through the links on the page you gave. Found the particular errors,
plus a number of other stop error I get also. Tried somethings, but nothing
helped.

Getting a little frustrated since I am getting different stop errors there
seems to be 100 different reasons and 100 different answers/solutions.

Although, many of the stop errors I am getting are refering to "bad
memory/faulty memory"

So I ran Microsofts memory scanner/tester (in extended test) and nothing.
Also tried memtest86 on the "Bio std" ... nothing also. Then did memtest86 on
the "Bio All" and got lots of error. But I don't know if this particular test
is relevant?

Are these tests testing Bio/motherboard memory or just physical Ram?

Should I do something else? Should I just try replacing the ram?

Thanks, appreciate your ideas.
