Blue Screen of Death

I am running win-xp-he OS. My hard drive is a Maxtor
6Y120L0 with 2 60gb partitions; 44gb and 58gb free. My
motherboard is a GigaByte GA-&V&600-L, the BIOS of which
is up to date. My processor is an AMD Athlon XP2400. My
DDR RAM 1.0gb; Bus Clock is 133 megahertz. I use a RADEON
7000 Series AGP adapter card.

Recently, I have been getting the Microsoft BSOD. It does
not seem to be a time related problem (I have left my PC
on all night, but no BSOD). My most recent BSOD Stop error
Code was Stop:0x0000000050. The MS Knowledge Base has no
information on this code. I was working with Paper Port
when this happened. This is the first time it has happened
when working with this program.

I did note that the problem started after I added a 512gb
RAM stick. The RAM checked OK by Memtest 86. All the RAM
sticks are PC 2700. My mother board is supposed to
ssupport up to 2.0gb of RAM.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ray Savage
