STOP: 0x0000001E message after updating windows 2000

Since downloading updates my computer won't reboot unless
in safe mode. The following message appears,

STOP: 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0xEB7F4DC7, 0x00000000,
0x4C46525B)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

ideas??

We ran into something similar with KB835732 (MS04-011).

On Windows 2000 machines, the OS would not fully boot
up. It would get to the end of "loading" bar, then just
restart itself.
The fix for this is below.

1. Boot from the Windows 2000 CD
2. Choose Repair installation when prompted
3. Choose Repair from console
4. Enter the WINNT directory (or whatever yours is)
\$NtUninstallKB835732$\spuninst using the 'cd' command
5. Enter the command "Batch spuninst.txt"
It may say "access denied" and that files are being copied
6. When it's finished, reboot, and allow Windows to load
7. Uninstall the update from Add/Remove Programs in the
Control Panel
