When I logon to Windows XP home version, "my documents"
folder opens up and I get an error saying winlogin.exe
can not be found. I can't find "my documents" in any of
the startup folders, and I did not search
for "winlogin.exe". Thanks for any help you can offer.

Run a Repair Reinstall on Windows using your Windows XP CD.
