Winlogin.exe not found

P

Peter

When XP boots up I get a winlogin.exe not found message.
When I search the hard dive for winlogin.exe nothing is
found. How do I fix this?

I have tried looking in the regedit but I can not find a
reference to winlogin. I would like to either replace the
winlogin.exe file with a new one or just delete the
request for winlogin.exe at startup (if I could find it).
