When starting XP(sp2) home edition the 3 squares that run back and forth
below the XP logo used to be yellowish-green. After installing service pack
2 they are blue. Is there any significance to the color change.

No significance. Also that screen no longer designates Home or
Professional.

As Sharon points out, no significance. Previously there were slightly
different screens for XP Home, Pro, Tablet and Media Center versions.
With SP2 they now all have the same startup screen.
