XP Professional logo missing on login, why? I upgraded from XP Home
edition to XP Professional edition, but when I reboot I still get plain
"Windows XP" logo on login screen instead of "Windows XP Professional"
logo. How can I fix this?

I am sure I have Professional installed - I used a couple of system
utilities and they both said I now have XP Professional installed. Just
the XP Professional logo does not appear. Wierd. Any help appreciated.

It's nothing to worry about. With the upgrade to SP2 the change was made to
not display the 'Home' or 'Pro' logo on startup or screensaver. It's all
just one 'Windows XP' logo now.

Right-click "My Computer", Properties. Does it say Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2?
SP2 did away with both "Professional" and "Home" on the startup screens.

There's nothing to fix. What you're seeing (or not seeing, actually)
is perfectly normal for Service Pack 2.
