SMP, Shutdown, and Poweroff

Hello,

I have a dual XEON SuperMicro system, with ACPI enabled.
Wen I shutdown my coimputer, it fails to power off,
instead, I get a message on my screen that states "It is
now safe to poweroff your computer".

Other versions of Windows (2k) shutdown this same computer.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
