Slideshows under Win XP Pro SP2

1.. Open My Pictures.
2.. Under Picture Tasks, click View as a slide show.
The above is what the Help files say. However, when I go to My Pictures
there is no Picture Tasks either as a Menu or a Sub-Menu item. Slideshow
command was available under Win ME. Help files indicate it is also available
in Win XP.

How can I get the "Picture Tasks" menu or tab to show up when I use Windows
Explorer to navigate to My Pictures?

The Common Tasks pane is hidden when the folder is in Explorer mode (with
Folder pane in the left side).

Thanks, Ramesh.

But the way they have done it is not very clever! They could have at least
shown Common Tasks as a Sub-Menu to View.
