I am running W98 and IE6.
Recently I installed Sun Java 1.4.2_02 to support another browser I was
trying out. Well, IE 6 Tools/Options showed the Sun Java enabled for IE as
well. My question: which should I run against IE6? Does MS VM provide
functionality beyond Java, or just java? Can I run both at the same time?
I may have done so, since I don't know what turns off MS VM (I thought I
did, but I am not so sure now -- how do I turn off MS VM, besides using the
"selectIEJVM.hta" script that sets off my Norton AV?).
I have seen quite a few postings about Java and the plans by MS to suspend
support, but they did not seem to address this question.
Thank you.
