Setup problem with Yahoo Mail!!!

R

Ronnika

Hello!
I have tried many times now (with different settings) to get it so I can
read my Yahoo mail here in Windows Mail instead.
But nothing has worked. I have looked it up on the internet, and found out
that I needed the YPops! program, so I installed that, but it still doesn't
work!
Can someone PLEASE help me?! I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

You can't do this directly. Standard free Yahoo mail, like other HTTP mail
systems, won't work with Windows Mail or other POP clients.

You need to either use YPOP or pay Yahoo for their enhanced mail, which will
give you access to non-HTTP mail.

Is it really that important to read your yahoo mail here in winmail?
I saved my yahoo mail site in the 'Favorites' folder (you could also put a
shortcut on your desktop) for quick access and don't find it bothersome at
all.
But then: one shouldn't argue about 'taste'.

It's not just taste. If your Internet connection goes down for any reason
then until you get that fixed you have no access to important information
that may be in recently received messages. With POP, those messages
would be on your computer.
