I have a Yahoo email account that I would like to populate into Mail.
Believe the issue is pop3 settings for server.

was told :

incoming: plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
outgoing: plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Someone said have to pay $19.95 year to yahoo to "upgrade" to this lvl of
service.
Does anyone know what deal with Yahoo is and Mail? Is there any free pop3
setting that will allow setup of Yahoo on Mail?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just as you have stated it, Janine. Yahoo lets you use the web-based email
for free, but if you want to use a program like Windows Mail, Outlook, etc.
then they insist you pay for the privilege of doing so.

Nope. But considering that $19.95 is a yearly rather than monthly charge,
the cost isn't extreme. :)

Personally I would rather use the email account(s) provided by the local ISP
{You are paying for them anyway, so why not use them?}. There is a mention
of Verizon in your header info; is that your network/internet access
provider? If so, don't you have email accounts with them? (sorry if I have
misread the header info; who is your ISP?).

I tried Zimbra, but found it to be cumbersome and non-intuitive.
The OP should consider switching to a different free email service
which does offer POP access, such as Gmail or Hotmail.
