Service Pack 2

Apologies if this is a stupid question. I am about to upgrade my hard drive
in my system and as such will be doing a fresh install of Windows XP. My
question is do I need to install Service Pack 1 before installing Service
Pack 2 (both of which I have on CD), or can you simply install Pack 2
straight from a fresh installation of Windows? Many thanks in advance.

Service Pack 2 is cumulative -- so it includes Service Pack 1.

Seems like a perfectly logical question to me.
