Server switch may be happening tonight if the good progress continues! Just need to get e-mail bits sorted out and then it should work fine.

Yup, its been completed - there are still a few users left on the "old" site - namely Quad, Adywebb, Me__2001 and myself (I am typing this direct from the server at the moment). Everyone else is on this new server :) Went quite smoothly :D

The newsgroups are just a test - they shouldn't be visible on the main site though - so something must have gone wrong. I'm working on that now!

Excellent - I'm glad that the speed increase is noticeable! The main difference is in stability and the ability to handle more users.

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else or if its just my machine, but the times on posts in some forums here seem to have the AM and PM the wrong way around, and some seem to have the wrong time altogether (or are in the wrong order in the thread. Check out the posts prior to this one - one from Ian 'Today, 01:00 AM', and then after that is Chrises with an earlier(?) time 'Today, 12:10 PM' .
hmmmm... me confused

EDIT: i posted this at 2:04 AM, and the thread shows the post as 2:04 PM.

Edit (Ian) : Should be fixed now - the server time was set to UK time but then Syncronised with US time is seems! Back to normal now :) I've had to lock this thread, as the order is a bit mad after the time problems!
