Secure Sites Wont Appear

Every time i try to open a secure site through IE, I
get "this page cannot be displayed." This problem only
occurs on my desktop and my laptop accesses these sites
just fine (throught the same ISP). I visited
microsoft.com and downloaded the IE 6 Service Pack
Update, but the problem still persists. What can be
done?

i have been having the same problem for a couple months
now, I can not open secure web sites unless I first
delete all temporary internet files and then restart my
computer. It is a problem that AOL knows about and their
fix is what I just said, but it only lasts for about
another session of internet surfing then it starts
again.
