sbcmsync.dll!!

Tom

Still have this problem at startup whereby Outlook says that sbcmsync.dll
isn't a valid add-in (just type sbcmsync.dll in google to get the
probs/solutions)

but I've tried all of the solutions to no avail (deleting the reg key
doesn't solve the prob and the reg key reappears all the time!)

Anyone know how to get rid of this prob?

I have Office 2003 installed and used to have office XP/2000 on too

Running XP Pro

Also, is there no way of integrating newsgroups with Outlook 2003?

I don't know about the sbcmsysc.dll file.

To "integrate" Outlook with News ... you can add a call on the menu to
Outlook Express (Outlook doesnt' in itself do news).

Menu: Tools/Customize, Tab: Commands. Pick "go" on left. Drag "news" to
Toolbar or menu.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

In Outlook, Tools->Options->Other->Advanced, Add-in Manager. Uncheck the
Outlook synchronization box.

I would if that check box was there! It's not!

Thanks Rob, I did indeed to that already, and it opens
OE6, if that's the best we can have then sobeit :)

You should be aware that Outlook doesn't provide any newsgroup
functionality. Outlook Express is the default newsreader. There are
lots of things Outlook does not do, new reading being one of them.

You can "do better" with better newsreaders, but that would be a matter
for you to explore separately independant of Outlook. OE is really
pretty good as a newsreader program.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

I am struggling with this, too, but have found that
tools-options-other-advancedoptions COM Add-Ins is where the invalid
link resides. I click that button and get the error. This COM
Add-Ins windows does not show any content, though.

I am looking for where in the registry or otherwise the invalid like
may be found to be removed...

Tom.
