Save password check box

Hello all,

I have a pc at work which accesses the Internet via a non-microsoft proxy
server which requires a user name and password. The pc I use has XP
installed (sp2), unfortunately the option to save the password details to
connect via the proxy server are not available (the save password check box
is not visible). Does anyone know what registry key is used to remove the
save password check box, I am a local admin on the box and have been
trawling through the options in gpedit.msc but I just cannot find the
setting which has turned off the check box.

Cheers,

Colin

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Network\Real
Mode Net]
"AutoLogon"=hex:01,00,00,00,00
"preferredredir"=""

If the Autologon value is 00 00 00 00, it may
turn off the save password box and if the value is 01 00 00 00, one
should be able to
save the password. My OS is Win98/WinMe.
