Sasser

If you are up to date on Windows updates, is your computer protected
against the Sasser virus/worm? If so, what's the HotFix number? I've
cleaned a lot of computers up in the last week... a couple of those
people said that they keep their updates up to date. I just want a way of
determining whether the actual update is installed.

what it is though, sorry

OK, thanks. 835732 is the number I was looking for. Actually I had
already been to that second link, but I was seeing a lot of "NT" in there
and no "XP". Although I realize XP is NT based.
It appears that the patch was released on April 13th, so if people were
keeping their updates up to date, they could have avoided Sasser in the
first place. It appears that there's been two more hotfixes since that
even.
