RPC Server is unavailable

My printer & fax was there one day and the next...gone.
I disconnected everything and reconnected and the
computer will not add it "OPERATION COULD NOT BE
COMPLETED." When I tried to add it manually I
received "RPC SERVER IS UNAVAILBLE." I'm not techy by
any means, so someone, please tell me this is an easy
fix. I also tried to restore back to a date that I knew
I printed, but that didn't work either.

There may be a print driver on your system that is corrupting the spooler
process but also make sure the spooler is running.
