Retreiving a fttp address and password

Hello I have a unique problem ,the webmaster that built my site will not give me
my fttp address or password ,sometimes I am waiting weeks to get something updated on my small business site what can I do ? I would appreciate any knowledge on the subject and who may be willing to work with me in the future
with changes and optimization of pages , thankyou Paul.

The only way to get the FTP username and password would be from the hosting company, which would no doubt be in the hands of the webmaster.

The problem isn't so much technical as a business problem - I think you need to find a new webmaster! The problem is that he may also be in control of the domain name.

The administrator is correct and right!!!

I suggest from my experience to find a better webmaster thus better hosting company and if you know at least how to upload or edit a bit some web-pages you should insist of getting access to your domain space.
I thing you have the right of tha t!!!
