Reoccurring Problems with Windows Defender (Beta2)

I give up on Defender. I'm now 19 days out of update and can't seem to get
this darn thing to work right. It's on my computer but not listed in my
Add/Remove Programs. Error messages say it did not download completely.
WHY? Anybody got any ideas on how to get this NEW program to load completely
and be able to UPDATE on a regular bases? Liked Beta1, Beta2 can't compare.
Wouldn't know if it's working or not. It's in my ALL USERS accounts but
can't get rid of it.

Please try to download to your desktop. Download twice, yes twice, in this
way you can compare sizes. Sometimes the D/L are corrupt, and we don't get
what we supose to get.

Try this clean up tool, to find the installation, and deleted.
Windows Installer cleanup tool: read the info carefully before using:

Also install the new installer,
Windows Installer 3.1 v2 (3.1.4000.2435) is available

Well, I've followed your instructions to the letter. Guess what? Still get
the same ol' error message "Was unable to install completely". Gotta be a
simplier way to get a new protection download. Never had this problem with
any other downloads that I acquired from Microsoft.
Appreciate the help though. Guess it's time to look elsewhere.
