Removing NET Passport

Having set up a Net Passport on a non hotmail account, I would like to remove
the facility that associates my XP user account with my passport, as this is
causing problems with logging in to hotmail accounts for other users of my
(shared) computer, however I would still like to keep the passport.

Control Panel/User Accounts/Change my Net Passport provides an option to
change the account details, but not remove the automatic association with my
computer.

Any advice much appreciated.

Try this:

Start -> Run

control userpasswords2

Advanced tab -> Manage Passwords
Remove appropriately.
