Reinstalling XP

Hi, I have come to the conclusion that I need to reinstall XP Pro, I had
gotton a virus that destroyed a lot of system files. However, is it possible
to somehow save the registry so I dont have to reinstall every application
that I have? I have had to do this in the past, which takes a crap load of
time and effort. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi

A 'Repair' install 'strips' out the Windows Hotfixes and you will have to go
back to Windows Update to redownload/reinstall those Hotfixes. This
includes any drivers that were updated via this route.
