Reinstalling Windows Messenger

Hi:

I've removed Windows Messenger using Doug knox's script
(xp_messenger_remove.vbs). I further deleted two registry
entries to stop the slow loading of Outlook Express:

Slow loading of Outlook Express when Messenger is disabled

Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{FB7199AB-79BF-
11d2-8D94-0000F875C541}\InProcServer32

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{FB7199AB-79BF-
11d2-8D94-0000F875C541}\LocalServer32

For both, in the right pane, right click
Default/Modify/Delete the value data.

(found on kellys Korner). This worked very well but now
I'm seeing a DCOM error under system in the event viewer
as follows:
Unable to start a DCOM Server: {FB7199AB-79BF-11D2-8D94-
0000F875C541}. The error:
"The system cannot find the file specified. "
Happened while starting this command:
-Embedding
Is this an error I should worry about?
Can you also tell me if there is any way to reverse these
and reinstall Messenger 4.6?

Thank you.

Thank you, Jonathan. I applied your .reg file but I'm still getting the DCOM
error. I feel better knowing that I don't need to worry about it, so I'll
just leave it be. Thanks also for the link to reinstalling Messenger. I'll
keep that close by, just in case!
