Identify "Server"?

I get error messages upon boot, saying that the "server" did not register
with DCOM within the required timeout.
The server is identified by a number: FB7199AB-79BF-11D2-8D94-0000F875C541.
Can anyone help me to understand what this means, and how to fix it?

Well, it actually told me that others are experiencing the same frustration.
No one seems to have any solutions, but it is something of a relief to know
that the problem is being recognized. I'm still baffled by the whole DCOM
business.

there are several solutions listed that worked for some people did you try
them?

A number of "guesses" did not seem to apply to my system, or even to Windows
XP.
The one that I thought had the most possible merit had to do with a recent
Live Update from Symantec (NAV) in anticipation of SP2.
Since I've yet to install SP2, I will wait and see if that resolves the
issue.

Someone may have had the same issue, so I am glad to report that after
installing SP2 the DCOM errors have not been repeated.
