Redialing options

Whenever I restart my PC I have to re-enter the redial if line is dropped
settings, ie. Try 5 times, 30 seconds between attempts, redial if line is
dropped (tick box). After a restart these have been reset to zeros and the
redial box is empty.
How do I make my settings stick so I don't have to change them every time I
connect to the internet?

Also, I have a Zoom modem and a shortcut to it is generated on my desktop
every time I switch on the PC - even after I have deleted in on a previous
session. Hpw do I stop it being created?

Sounds like your profile is corrupted and not saveing changes anymore.
Try creating a new profile.

No, that's not it as it happens to all user profiles on my PC.

I have spoken to Zoom , and they say the options are designed so that they
cannot be changed.... That can't be right can it?

So you say this is a feature of the software that Zoom provides with
their modem. Option is to not use Zoom modem and software, but something
else.
