real time protection notification

I just realized that I had turned off real-time protection some days ago
(probably to run a slide show when not connected) and had forgotten to turn
it back on. And I wondered if it wouldnt be possible to have the tray icon
change to show that the status had changed as a reminder. Just a suggestion
