Query regarding auto forwarding for the disabled mailbox

Hi Team,
I have user A (Whose mailbox is disabled) and User B (receive email on
behalf of user A, as we have set auto-forwarding rules).
Even though userA mailbox is disabled, user B still able to get the mails of
user A i.e Auto-forward will still function?

Depends on how you've setup things. If by rules; no. If by using the forward
function in AD U&C; yes

Hi Roady,

Thanks for your suggestion and of course thanks to Microsoft.
yesterday i was playing around with this situation.

Client -end rules ofcourse it won't work.
Now I created 3 accounts : User1, User2 and User3
Set auto-forward rule from delivery option of user1 to User2. So that
whenever User1 receive email it should forward to user2.
And it is successful

Then i disconnected the mailbox from the User1 account. Then i did the same
thing and i got NDR stating that it is a invalid e-mail address.

Even i had same idea that through Forward option we can still have the
function after the disconnecting the mailbox but it wasn't the same. I
believe it will stop all the exchange feature function but i am not sure. It
is just my thinking.

any other option or suggestion...?

What do you mean by "disconnecting" the mailbox? Of course it will stop to
function when you drop the mailbox on the User1 object since then the object
won't have any Exchange properties anymore. Disabling the user object and/or
setting the send/receive limits to 0KB on User1 will do the trick.

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

I got ur point what u mean to say...
If i disable my account still my auto-forward will function.
If i disable or disconnect my mailbox my auto-forward will not function.
